Connie Lawn

Connie Lawn called herself "The Skiing White House Reporter." She covered the White House as a correspondent since 1968, and headed her own news bureau. But, as the years rolled by, her passion for skiing and the mountains became more intense, and she became a contributor to DCSki. In 2012, Connie was named An Honorary Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit by the New Zealand Government and Queen Elizabeth, in recognition of years of radio reporting she did. Connie Lawn passed away on April 2, 2018 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She leaves behind a treasure trove of stories about skiing in the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.
