The 7 Springs mountaincams link is now showing a new webcam on TNF side. Not much snow over there yet (and what is there may be natural) but it's still nice to see.

Is anyone else having problems with 7 Springs website? It takes forever (slower than dial up)to download their web page. I don't think the problem is on my end as we have a T1 at the office and Verizon Fios (1 week old) at the house. I get instantaneuos gratification from everyone else's website, but 7 Springs.

Yes, their entire site has been a dog all week.

It's 7springs. I have plenty of bandwidth here at the office, watching the TLine web cam all day.. Try to go to 7Spring and your right, dialup is faster. Reboot!!!

Even last year, I recall their web site being somewhat slow. This year, I most often run out of patience before it comes up. Does anyone know if they have actually confirmed Friday as their opening day? (Would hope so since there is now some modest snow in the forecast!)

It better be, I'm reporting for work! Yes, it's official, we open Friday. First lift at 9.

And yes, the site has had issues for more than a year, it's almost always s.....l.....o.....w.

According to the website (I just left it in the background until it loaded )

Seven Springs will open the slopes for the season December 8th.
Check out the Snow Report for pricing and slope details.

The Snow Tubing Park will open December 9th.
Check back for additional information.

From the snow report:

Great news!!! We are opening for skiing this friday, December 8th with 7-9 slopes and trails serviced by 3 chairlifts and 2 surface lifts on the front face only.
Depth of Base(Snow Making Areas): 8'' - 14

No mention of which 7-9 trails they plan to open...

Just a guess:

Wagner
Fawn Lane
Santas Beard Terrain Park
Alpine
Deer Pass
Cortina
Stowe
Beginner Bowl
Phillips Run...

and possibly, Tyrol. Tyrol physically looks sketchy (thin cover) as of now, but with more snowmaking possibilities and if 8+" actually hits, it and Avalanche may be open for Friday. Just my guess based on what I've seen.

Matt...see you Friday.

Concerning the site, I have had some conversations with the techy guys, it is a server/bandwidth issue at the ISP. Hopefully the new owners will rectify it.

That is a weird shot of N Face. Looks like it is taken from the North lot.

I was thinking it was on a lift tower of either Blitzen or the 6'er. I'll have to look on Friday. The wide angle lense definitely makes it look weird.

I was thinking it was taken from the bottom of the trail under the gunnar tripple on the north side, sort of looking over to where Giant steps opens up.

My guess is it was from near the North Lot, but I think it's actually taken from the top of Little North Face slope, looking diagonally over across North Face slope and on over to Giant Steps. I took a picture last Fall while hiking up there from almost the very same spot, but I think the Webcam lens is distorting the image a wee bit.

Did you see yesterday's shot? It sure looked like it was taken from the ball field on the flat. It looked over the flat area on top of NF, with the quad and Tahoe on the left. There must be another camera up higher than the NF lot area. This camera you posted could be taking both the Little NF and Alpine shots.

Ya, yesterday I had no idea what I was looking at. Today I looked at is and it was obvious. I will have to keep looking at it. Need something to do until I can leave to go get my new boots.

Awesome job at putting in the landmarks on the pix - that's pretty much how I envisioned it as well.
