Check out the melt ponds from the summer melt at the North Pole...They have just Frozen over & it looks like a little Snow action! We are a little over a month since the summer solstice & it looks like Winter has just begun...Stay Tuned!

As you can see if you click the link on 1st post the melt ponds have been covered up with Ice & snow & now with the 1st very premature snows in Siberian Russia we are well on our way to the winter of 10/11!!....Arctic Sea ice Melt should slow to a drip in the next week & begin to reform mid Sept...Stay Tuned!!
My prayers have been answered. Winter is coming....
& its getting closer!

I look for Barow's 1st snow every year & I think this is the 1st sea level snow on the ground in the US...this snow is right on time so that means Winter is right on Schedule!
PS..Some are hinting for an early winter down here in the lower 48 that could sputter out mid winter.Who knows?..El nino is out & nina is in.. factor in the NAO & all those other 3 letter weather systems, multiply em, discect em,divide them Figure it out & let us know the result. I'm going to kick back & just hope for the best!
