3 inches at the Boone,NC areas...4 at Snowshoe..7 at Canaan Valley(Although TL is claiming 10) 2.6 at Laurel summit,PA...& the Winner is Kumbrabow State Forest,WV (you reading this Baywalker & RogerZ?) CKing in with 9" & a 15" snow cover verses a 12" snow cover at both SS & Canaan...Canaan has now recieved 83"'s so far which would mean that if My Oct predict of 140" was correct we have 67 more to go....easy...

I'm looking at the railing on my deck at TLine right now and even though it faces west (and the snow can get blown off) there is only 6-7 tops. I drove over to Petersburg and back last night and I never saw 10 inches. Now to be fair, when I was skiing yesterday, it was snowing harder at the top of the mountain so there might be more if they're measuring up there, but I think 10 might be stretching it. And on top of that, the wind was blowing so hard up there so I don't know how you could get a good reading.

Regardless, conditions are sweet up here right now. They've been blowing non-stop and I would expect most of the trails to be open some time this weekend.

Always good to hear the 1st hand reports..thanks Clay. 7 at 3200' & 10 up above 4000' to the tippy tops seems to be the call. Whitegrass confirms this & adds that the 4000' stake is now up to 17 inches...its mid wimter!
