As I post this, there are 36 lurkers on the board...that's gotta be close to a record. If not, what is the record?

Oh! I thought you meant skiing with a 'lurk' the single long pole used in traditional Norwegian technique,

Lurk... verb, as to stay hidden...lie in wait, to exist undiscovered or unobserved. It's those who frequent this board but who don't sign on or register as members. Dunno what they're afraid of?

To be fair, some of the lurkers might be members who are just not logged on. Does the lurker/user ratio change on the weekend?

I like to stay logged in even if I don't post because it helps me keep track of what I have already read.

Wow, 57 lurkers as of 9:25 this AM. It seems that Monday AM is a favorite lurk time.

No need to look any further than this DCSki pictorial of the Blue Knob gathering to spy a real lurker. There is our own RodSmith posing with a lurk in the first 2 photos. Scroll down to picture 3 and see him with lurk in hand as he tele-boards the trails at the Knob.

jimmy and skier219 are in Utah. I have noticed, or should I say not noticed recent postings for others such as kimmee, backyard snowmaker, and many others. Not sure where they have gone or what drove them away. If they found something better I would hope they share with the rest of us....unless we are the ones they are escaping from!?

Just to be clear - I haven't gone anywhere - I just don't have anything to say \:o

On the other hand, I always sign in so I don't read the same post twice - so I guess I have no bearing on this topic.

Carry on!

This Saturday/Sunday at t-line. The big show is Saturday at 8 or 9 PM for the fireworks, toruchlight/lava show, w/drumming. Then a big party in Timbers w/ the dancers, etc... (if you can get in). Hope the weather cooperates. It's hard to see the fireworks if the mountain is too cloud cloaked.
