the forecast here at CV/Tline is saying 5-9" today, but it looks like the MD/PA resorts are getting some freshies too, in addition to the snow they blew also, so there should be some sweet pow at liberty, whitetail and roundtop also today!

We got 6" of snow at Blue Knob with up to 6 more inches on the way. The snow is very light and fluffy. Great powder conditions. The skiing for the next couple days should be great.

Anyone have any numbers on how much fell throughout the day in the Valley? We have close around 4-5 inches here in northcentral WV @ 1,000ft. It is also pretty wet and heavy though. How is the snow in the Valley?

Wet and heavy?? Snow to water ratios were extremely high with this storm (14:1 to 20:1) making for extremely light powder, perfect for skiing!

You can at least double that for Canaan David! Waiting to see if The Canaan Obs guy cks in at 7 for an update. I know that there were a few 10.5 amounts ...Freindsville,md(Wisp!) for one.
Canaan had at 1pm a total of 7.5.& looking at TL webcam at 430pm, which was very disturbing to me...it looked socked into a winter dump with the fence by the 1st aid station almost buried!..I was getting a little jeolous of all the snow NE & Utah was getting but this storm calmed me down!I would bolt up there FRI if it wasn't for the rain Chances. I have an 8 hour dr...got to be perfect...like today ....Where are the Front line Grunts? CK in fellas!

The snow here in my area didn't turn out to be that light. I would say probably because it was right around 31 degrees most of the day. It may have been light coming down, but as it sat for a while it started to get pretty dense. I am sure it is better in the Valley though. I will see tomorrow...See you at T-Line!!!

I will post a detailed writeup in a separate thread, but my estimates from today at CV are 10" nominal on the slopes, with 12-14" in many areas, and 16" in isolated spots (trees, sides of trails). It was an Epic day! The snow was very dry.
