Each of the last couple of weeks over 50 DCSkiers have indicated that they were planning to ski that weekend. I suspect the number that actually skied is much larger, but 50 equals a lot of dough being spent.
So where are you planning to go this weekend? You can vote for up to two areas assuming you are planning to ski at more than 1 resort.
Enjoy,

"Blue Know"? - woops!

But anyway, I'll be at Massanutten again this weekend - both Saturday and Sunday.

Looking forward to getting back out there again to make some turns, especially after that awesome weekend of skiing I had last weekend up at the Poconos. I am definitly not ready to hang those boards up yet - still got all of March to go through, and it all looks like it'll be some nice late winter - early spring skiing in store for us all!

Here is what you have to look forward to, from one pig to another :

From this afternoon's Cottonwoods forecast:

"A cold Pacific trough will approach from the west. The surface cold front will most likely arrive Friday morning between 5am and 9am. Some snow will develop over the area ahead of the front but the heaviest snow will be after the front passes and the winds switch to northwest. Storm totals by Saturday morning will likely be 12-18 inches with around 1 inch of SWE in the Cottonwoods."

And: "Another storm possible late Sat/Sun."

I think the tide has definitely turned.

I'll try Whitegrass backcountry again. 5-7" new according to Chip this AM and some wind to drift it; tomorrow sunny high near 30. With a forecast like that, I like my chances of finding powder turns once again.

Probably see you out there somewhere Denis.

Are you gonna 'cheat' and take a ride to the top?

Probably I'll start the day like that. If so, I'll be booting up in the CV cafeteria shortly before 9. I'd also like to look for untracked glades near the WG base. Several favorites there that I've yet to ski this season. It kind of depends on how much snow I see on the drive up from Harman.

Hope to see you.
