According to US Gov. stats, the first half of 2006 was the warmest period (within the US) on record! Of course, to some, it's not really surprising, given how warm Jan. was. Yet, last winter was only the 5th warmest winter on record in the US, so it appears that the warming is increasing as 2006 progresses. One thing's for sure, if we don't see a let-up in this extended warm spell, next ski season is going to be a disaster!!!!

I believe that, primarily due to economic factors, the mid-Atlantic ski industy has been heading towards a consolidation phase, with the closure of a ski area or two likely. Of course, the other main factor in the mix is the weather. Should we see a repeat of last winter's weather, there might be more than just a little consolidation within the ski industy!

Of course you can date girls! You just have to find one of those women currently exitng her second childehood. Shouldn't be -that- hard.

Trust me, I was talking figuratively, not literally.

For some of us, we just want to date. Might not be the overly hot chick stripping down because of global warming is causing her to sizzle in the ski suit. But dating period is something some of us eventually want to reach and have a snowboard partner.

Jimmy,
If you are cooking road kill then you are really covering all the bases during this hot spell...riding in it, catching meals in it, and cooking on it!

I find possum grilled on the hood of a Chevy Suburban particularly toothsome.

I think I'll head up to CV this weekend and see what I can pick up (or run over).

Ran over a 15lber Eltan road south of Sperryville 4th of July week.

Sort of on-topic: the experiment is still underway.
