You and your honey spend HOURS Thursday evening trying to find a flight to Loveland CO [Denver]. No such luck, and the Friday morning flights were way too late. Drowned our sorrows at the Def Leppard concert Friday night.

Any idea as to when/where in CONUS we might be able to make SECOND first tracks?

hey, snow - frankly I think loveland is to be avoid now it's pretty warm here and in Co and they only have a < 20" base so rock-skiing is the word.
IMHO out-west skiing will crank up two weeks latter than last year so think Mid-Nov due to a tricky jet-stream. Maybe something like Big Sky MO or some such thing will get dibs. I think CO resorts will get a blast early and then crap-out. But truthfully ... I bet the Mid-West like Michigan will get it first ... even if they are not open officially. I think BC will start slow and have a so-so year not due to temps but precip. Just my bone-feelings.

Yeah, you're right. Just it would have been a fun thing to do. ... guess we'll just have to wait until Jan when we will be at PCR the week before Sundance. If you are going to be around maybe we can get together for a beer and some whatever ...
