THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT ABOVE THE 7000 FOOT LEVEL FOR THE WASATCH AND WESTERN UINTA MOUNTAINS IN NORTHERN UTAH FOR TUESDAY.
A WINTER STORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT ABOVE THE 7000 FOOT LEVEL FOR THE WASATCH AND WESTERN UINTA MOUNTAINS IN NORTHERN UTAH. SNOW IS POSSIBLE IN THESE MOUNTAINS AT THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS TODAY. SNOW LEVELS WILL LOWER EARLY TUESDAY WITH AMOUNTS OF 6-12 INCHES POSSIBLE ABOVE ABOUT 7000 FEET BY TUESDAY AFTERNOON. SNOW LEVELS COULD BRIEFLY COME DOWN TO 6000 FEET OR EVEN LOWER TUESDAY MORNING BUT LITTLE ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED AT THAT LEVEL.
A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT NEW SNOW. CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS.
