Tuesday is the first day of summer, so what better day to break ground on 10 new ski trails.

Wisp at Deep Creek Mountain Resort in Maryland is developing The North Camp, a $9.1 million addition with 10 trails and two quad chairlifts.

A groundbreaking ceremony including state economic development officials is set for Tuesday.

Wisp also has a new $3 million snowmaking pumphouse.

The facility will be open in time for the ski season.
