Virginia’s Massanutten Resort is expanding the scope of activities this winter with the construction of a new outdoor ice skating rink.

Located at the LeClub Recreation Center on top of the tennis courts, the rink will be a 4,250 square-foot facility accommodating up to 132 skaters at a time. Massanutten plans to have the rink open from mid-December through mid-March. 90-minute skating sessions will be available during the 2011-2012 winter season for $13 with skate rentals or $10 without skate rentals. Helmet rentals will also be available for $2 per session. The rink will be open daily, with varying hours throughout the week.

Never ice skated before? Massanutten will also be offering ice skating lessons.
