Snowboarded for about 2 hours last night. The RT snow report said minuteman and fife and drum open. mi nuteman was open but must ahve been groomed by stevie wonder cause it was death. lots of ice balls and ridges. to make matters worse, it was very icy. everybody was on fife and drum which did have good snow, but how much fun is a 10 second run? looks like the halfpipe and exhibition are close to being opened. my guess would be friday.

thanks for the report, what a difference from the lousy start of last season, let's hope the cold and snow continues.

Rode last night for 3 hours (12/04). minuteman was great. lots of snow and well groomed. very little crowd. maybe 20 people at most. they are dumping snow on exhibition and with the natural we are getting today (7 inches) they willb opening more trials saturday. the halfpipe is supposed to open saturday as well. ramrod may make it as they just started snowmaking there.

rode tons this weekend. have to say that saturday morn was some of the best manmade conditions ive ever seen at RT. (see i'm not always negative). they groomed earlier and let some of the machine made snow accumulate on top so it made for pseudo powder conditions. not very crowded either. yesterday was a little icy but they did such a great job on the halpipe. they are finally listening to people and not rushing it open. hopefully this overall trend will continue.

been riding roundtop daily and thought folks might want a report--right now its pretty much frozen granular or as one guy put it yesterday, 'its like riding on a beach'. looks like some good snowmaking weather is comming so after xmas might be a good call. crowds have been super (i'm talking 2 to 5 people on minuteman) light but who wants to spend what they are asking for a ticket. best calls for the holidays would be xmas afternoon, and sat and sunday morning. the 'park' is open, but prepare to be dissappointed as its only rails and one sketchy quarterpipe. plus they have a rule against hiking the park so you number of runs are limited. when the weather turns for the better things will be good but the high prices still remain.
