There was an effort to make snow on Saturday night but they only made at the top of the trails. The tops were good but the bottoms were icy/granular. IMO, not worth the price of a lift ticket and gas (even if you have a pass, it still probably isn't worth the gas).
Skied Roundtop late this afternoon. 3/2
Have a pass, and am staring 9 to 10 months without skiing in the face, so it was worth the gas to me.
Whether it's open next Friday is anyone's guess. Forecast is for 1/4 inch rain tonight. They had a long slalom course set up for tomorrow. Hope it doesn't rain on the racers!
Skiing is a lot like Egg Nog, they get you hooked for a spell over the winter, and then, wham, they cut you off!

Skied Roundtop late afternoon early evening on Wednesday Mar 7th.
Some of the slowest snow I've encountered. Really needed a different type of wax. Though as temps dropped it got a little better.
Anyway Roundtop officially closes Sunday.
