Need cheap group site in CV over prez day !!

Get this. My eagle scout son graduated from boy scouts to venture scouts. They have the idea that about 12 of them want to go to Whitegrass over prez day weekend, Jan 19-20. All they really need is a good warm site to throw down sleeping bags with running water. The cabins at CVSP were all booked several months ago. Any help will be richly rewarded with good vibes and positive karma.

I'll ask around. There are several bunk-house style lodges for this type of group not associated with any resort. I can't remember the specifics, but will see what I can find out from some friends. Tucker can probably help as well.

We suggest the Canaan Valley State Park campground, where no reservations are taken or needed. Heated bathrooms, electric hookups, flat, plowed, safe in a blizzard, a dryer, phone...close to their lodge where you can buy your way into their heated pool and exercise room...ahhhh...
Primitive camping along the Loop Road, in the Sods, National Forest, the hinterlands around Whitegrass...we can advise.

Thanks. Whitegrass email, perhaps Chip, pointed Walker to Purple Fiddle which does not take youngsters. Also some other place that did not pan out, cannot remember the name, but I'll pass on Windwood Bunkhouse (fly in resort in Davis?) to Walker. I think the girls in the crew are against the winter camping thing, don't know why ..... Keep it coming, all appreciated mucho.
