woohoo! thanks for the heads up Tucker! Last time I looked it was supposed to be sunny and 40 this weekend. Ski time! Chippy is away but said we could take the fence down across the top of the slope since the cows are gone and make some turns! and there is a 2" cow patty base already smile

The Mountain Lions have their last home game tonight against petersburg...a snowy one will be extra sweet!

Wouldn't surprise me. They're even talking about possible measurable accumulation inside the Beltway in the swamps of DC! And maybe more.

NWS has upgraded snow accumulation totals to 8"-14". So they really mean 2 feet. Sunday will reveal the truth. (:^O)>>>

Just to help get everyone in the mood, the Wardensville and Baker areas, have a skiff of snow on the ground with it coming down really hard. 5-8" predicted, and 12"+ in some of the higher areas like north mountain and branch mountain.

This one was a bust here..that is we will probably see the lower end of forecast. We probably have about 3" on the valley floor this 6 AM. They are calling for 4-7 today...but I am skeptical. This storm did the same thing yesterday that the rain storm last midweek did on Wed...They both came from the south with heavy precip potential and split around the valley when coming north. However, during that storm cabin mountain got slammed...so there could be significantly more snow on cabin mountain/dolly sods/t-slime/top of whitegrass. but I don't know for sure yet

tucker, I think dave lesher gets bored when the storm doesn't produce as expected? gonna head up to the high spots to ski a little later for sure tho and will report amounts! and hopefully jonjon brought some more dogfish head 90min for the sat nite beer tasting! definitely not riding today tho, but should probably take better care of my bike.

I would say there was 8-12 at most from everywhere we skied. It stopped snowing for a bit, but started again above 3800' in the afternoon. i put a few pics on the wg site and sent to the weather channel, although they seem to consider Snowshoe the only place in WV for snow.

Connecticut got hammered. Over two feet in many spots. 800,000 without power. My family up there is not loving life right now since large sections of CT are on well water, so when power goes, so does your water.
