What are the best skis for NASTAR racing. If you can only have one pair of skis for both racing and skiing on the rest of the day, what would you chose?

Personally. I think GS skis are the best all around skis a person can have. Stiff enough to be stable everywhere, enough sidecut to run course, and usually pretty damp so they don't tire you out.

I agree overall, however I've found that the shorter. quicker slalom skis are a bonus when the course gets rutted up.
