How much snow did we get in 2009/10 ?
August 30, 2010
we all know that the mid-A really got the snow last season. it was great. now, before we forget, just how much snow did we get? I looked around and came up with this data. All the new england and western data comes from Tony Crocker's site, which is really great if you have not seen it.
this is what i could find in about half an hour. what can you addd to the list ? of course these are mostly resort reports, so be skeptical.
beech 132
wintergreen 93
winterplace 150
snowshoe 226
timberline 250
whitetail 90
plattekill 218
killington 203
stowe 204
sugarloaf 209
jay 238
keystone 139
breckenridge 232
snowbird 451
kirkwood 495
Good stuff, pagamony! Nice to see our region give the NEast a run for its money in terms of total (reported) snowfall.
I doubt I'll ever ski on as little ice in the mid-A as I did this past year, and I don't expect one of our resorts to beat out Jay and Sugarloaf too often, either.
Outdoor pools are announcing closing Labor Day weekend schedules. College football, fall colors and the first flakes can't be far behind.

You know the 09-10 mid A snow totals could be equaled again if the March snow machine ever kicks in again. Two straight years and no big late March dumps like "in the day." Schweet work on the totals. I know a lot of folks who said they wasted $$ going west when they did last winter when the "goods" were in their backyard.
awww, shucks. Doesn't anyone have any interesting snow totals? It was a hell of a year. Only one day at Wintergreen, new years eve, would I say the snow was marginal, otherwise fantastic. Even then there was nearly a foot of snow in the trees.
Did anyone here ski at the Homestead last year? Looks like they would have been about Bullseye for several of those storms.
Good snow totals for canaan valley here. He got about 240 for December thru end of March, march sucked or we might have got 300. Beauty of it was we never had the mid winter melt, at least in WV.
Laurel Hill Crazie took this picture of my son and I at Blue Knob two days after the big 2-3 foot snowstorm in early Feb 2010. Not much untracked that day, but possibly the most left over, cut-up fresh snow I've ever skied in the mid-Atlantic since 1967
