Hi,
anyone can recommend specialized store for Nordic skiing close to Wash. DC (VA, DC, MD).
I know REI carries some stuff and maybe Sports Authority. But a specialized store with knowledgeable staff...
Want to purchase Skate Skis and would like to go to see some in the actual store.
Also I am looking at Fischer RCR Skate skis... their line up of skis is quite confusing... any one can recommend
Many thanks

Hi Petr, welcome to the forums.
Doesn't exist. There used to be one in Vienna, long shut now.
Ski Chalet and Ski Center have -some- nordic gear (not much) also.

Ordering from REI online then having shipped to a shop, with immediate return is a really good deal for members.

Good luck. Let us know where there is one if you find it.

Not close to DC, but I would take a ride to Whitegrass. They certainly have the knowledge and they would let you try different models on the snow. Plus, that is the best place to Skate Ski near DC.
