It's looking like Tline is starting to succomb to the heat and rain. Twister is closed, as is Easy Does It which happens to be the runout for The Drop. I'd say it has plenty of base for skiing, they just closed it because there is no way to get to it other than The Drop. Fire Road, which was the other way, was almost gone last weekend....

I think Snowshoe must consult with a top notch weatherman or service...this march has been the biggest dissapointment weatherwise...2.5 inches at canaan so far on a month that averages 26...60 inches fell in 2005! There might be some snowflakes for the last open weekend but can they even make it that long?

NEXT MARCH WILL BE EPIC!!!.....gone fishing...

Leaving April 2nd for Co.(driving) to visit my new(and only) grandchild and his family. My son is stationed at Ft. Carson. Plan to ski April 6th through 8th. Bought a 4-pack of lifts tickets for Loveland last Nov. for $110. My son has a pass that's good at Keystone and A-Basin so we'll probably spend the other two days there. The storms in the west are right on time. grin grin

I still hope to get a couple more days here in the MidAtlantic. One lift serviced and maybe one w/o.

Going to either VT or CO, April 6-10. Just need to get final approval from Central Planning.

Probably around 22 hours. Leaving around 3:00am Thurs. morning. We're planning to stop that night. We think we'll be there Friday evening. We drove out two years ago and hit a bad storm on the way. 70 was closed in Kansas so we had to head south and then come back north from New Mexico. Hope we have better weather this time.

It still ain't over.

Although closed midweek, at least three mid-Atlantic ski areas are expecting to reopen: Camelback Friday 4/3 and Saturday 4/4 (last day), T-line Saturday 4/4 and Sunday 4/5 (last day), and Wisp Saturday 4/4 and Sunday 4/5.

Wisp's "season extension" goes to Easter weekend, but their webcams last weekend made it look as if they lost a great deal of snow.

Enjoy the season,

Hopefully I can get a chance to goto Tline on Sat. I haven't been there now in 4 years and only last went boarding back in January making a whopping 2 times this year to Whitetail only. Working has ruined my snowboarding mojo. lol

According to their website this morning, Wisp will be open April 4-5 for snow tubing and the mountain coaster only. Ski operations are closed.

But ... thanks, Wisp, for getting a bunch of runs open early this season, and the past several!

Wow, Wisp's webcams show tons of damage. How are they even going to be skiing at all this weekend??

Just got back from Taos. They are closing 4/5. They currently have an 80 inch base.
