I know we still have some time left before the "off-season". I think that everyone should start training off with something light.

Such as this:

I do the following during the "unseason"
1. Review and respond to individuals as are blogging the infamous DC Ski "Untopic" thread.
2. Switch to summer beer.
3. Talk about skiing.
4. Do work at the infamous Bonner Mountain Resort Hotel.
5. Indulge in sipping and swilling activities with my good friends and some Ohio Hillbillies.
6. Cloud skiing.
7. Mow the grass

I want to spend more time on my bike. I really want to improve this year so I'm making it a priority to get out an ride as often as possible.

I'll play some golf but I need lessons. I am absolutely horrible. Need to wait for my shoulder to heal first though.

Grass skiing?

Anyone else ever go for it? We should plan an outing (but it will have to be a few months from now). Jana and I get out at least 2-3 times...

I've got a mountainboard that they let you use at Bryce and Wisp. We should start another thread about mountainboarders vs grass skiers. Mountainboarding is pretty scary stuff but I have to say it is amazing for dialing in carves and rythym.

PM me when your ready to go to Bryce, I'd like to try grass skiing this Summer. I work in Leesburg, live in Loudoun.

Also Scootertig, check out the video in David's post above. I am sure that we could find some bankrupt developer abandoned dirt hill here an Loudoun and carve our own mogul field in it.

PM me AND start a thread about it. I'm all about the grass. kennedy, you can borrow my grass skis for a few runs, if you let me try the mountainboard.

Sure no problem. That thing is terrifying. I find it best to run it with very low pressure in the tires at first until you gewt a feel for the terrain. I have a brake for it but I'm not sure it really helps.

Terrifying is OK as long as there is no chance of getting hurt. Haha. Maybe I should pass. I'm a snowboarder, but never skateboarded. I saw a guy mountainboarding once, it did not look easy.

If you're going to Whitetail Saturday, I'll let you try my race board. I have size 11.5 hard boots you can use.
