Anyone know if dogs are welcome at any Snowshoe lodging?
We're taking a mid-week trip for my birthday the end of Feb. and I'd like to bring the dog along. We'd be looking for one of the condo-like places so we can cook decent grub (snowshoe has mainly disappointed me in that respect).

I made a reservation for Snowshoe back in December through their central reservation office and they made it sound like there are only a few pet-friendly rentals avaiable at the top of the mountain.

It looks like there are a few pet-friendly rentals available through VRBO:

Yes there are.

Mountain Valley Properties at http://www.snowshoerentals.com/home.aspx The old Misty Mountain I believe. If you do a search, they have six pet friendly properties that range from a 1 bedroom at Whistlepunk to some of the West Ridge mansions and off-site properties.

Remax Old Spruce at http://snowshoevacationrentals.com They have 15 pet-friendly properties of all kinds and sizes.

Morning Glory B&B has one room that does accommodate pets. http://www.morninggloryinn.com/

Not being presumptuous but if you check my website page on Snowshoe lodging, I've got several places listed. http://www.botta.info/Lou_Bottas_Webpage/Snowshoe_Area_Information.html

Never been inside 37 but Whistlepunk is one of the best located condo complexes at the 'Shoe. Even they're one of the original condo complexes, they are generally very well kept and upscale. And convenient to everything. Plus the spa is right there too. It will be even better once they find a replacement for the old Red Fox and Yodeler's Pub, but that's another story.
