Giving a shout out to DCSki that the annual Ski Swap held at the Ski Center in upper NW Washington, D.C. will be happening this coming Sunday, October 26th. Bring your gear to sell and look for deals! The swap is sponsored by the Liberty Mountain Ski Patrol, which has a new and improved website at www.libertyskipatrol.org.

Drop off equipment for sale as early as 7:00am and pick up unsold stuff by 3:00pm. Same registration process as last year. Come early for selling and bargain hunting! The Ski Center usually puts out some stuff as well.

Scott - hopefully, this post doesn't violate the prohibition on commercial postings in that the patrol is still a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Mea culpa if this is otherwise.

This is one of the best swaps in the area. I'll be there.

Sunday, October 26, 2008 9am to 3pm at Ski Center!
Rain Date: Sunday, November 2

Buy or sell used ski & snowboard equipment & clothing at the D.C. area's largest swap.

If you're selling items, registration begins at 9am. The Ski Liberty Ski Patrol will sell your merchandise for you.
Return by 3:30pm to pick up any unsold items. Items not picked up by 3:30pm will be considered donated to the Ski Patrol. You will receive a check in the mail for any sold items less an 20% commission from the Ski Patrol. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks to receive your check. Boots and bindings over 10 years old cannot be sold.
For easy ample parking on Swap Day, turn on 50th Street from Massachusetts Avenue and use the large parking lot behind the office buildings.

I will be in Florida frown or, wait smile

For those not aware of Sunday's events: the USMC marathon will shut down most of the bridges and downtown area. DO NOT plan on driving through the city until after 3pm. DO NOT plan on using the GW parkway.

I495-> best.

A good start. wink How was the volume overall? Did it peter out by 11:30 or continue through the day with the chill?
