Anyone know of a affordable place to stay a quick night near snowshoe? Does the "bunkhouse" come to anyone's brain?

my first and favorite choice would be the Brazen Head INN

About ten minutes from the Inn at Snowshoe.Great atmosphere plus an Irish bar

The Boyer Motel on Rt. 28/92 north of Greenbank is plain but clean. Its hard to beat the rates there. Its about half an hour from SS. 304-456-4667. The Marlinton Motor Inn is slightly more upscale. Its on Rt. 219, about half an hours south of SS. 304-799-4711.

Well, we stayed at the Boyer Inn....the lady checking us in was very nice but the room smelled of Lysol and the beds were horrible. Best option was the beer bottle opener on the wall. Thank god for Becky's burger joint - everything was closed at 8pm.

Haha, we were there too. Saturday night? We didn't arrive until pretty late, as we hung out at snowshoe village until 10 or so. Did you see a tan Lincoln Aviator in the parking lot?

Motel was ok. My GF wasn't happy about lots of stains on the linens/towels, but I found it alright. Cable TV and a heater was all I really need. I did promise her next time we'd spend the extra money and either stay at the Elk River inn, or the Irish place.
