I'm not sure if this has been addressed recently (knowing that there was an extensive post a few seasons ago), but any more hints on routes to Snowshoe from our area? Last I heard was the directions provided on Showshoe's website is the least favorable while the I66 to I81 to 55 to 28 and then to 66 is the quickest. Is this still true? What about that new highway? Is it up and running? We're headed to that part of the world for the first time. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
I skiied Snowshoe 2 weeks ago and stayed in a wonderful little place off 66 called Cass. It was a 3BR house for around $89 a night. I think it is a state park.
