I just recieved this insider info.... shhhhhh!!!! Speculation (from a very good source) is that Liberty may be opening in just 30 days from now.

Of course, as we all know that can only happen if everything comes together just right. So please..... pay homage to Ullr (or other snow god of choice) in any way you see fit. We need all the good snow/cold vibes we can get.

Connie Lawn mentioned in her 24 October article that:

"Whitetail and its sister areas - Liberty and Roundtop - want to open the day after Thanksgiving, weather permitting. Cold and snow are predicted for this winter, so expectations are high."

So I don't think this is that big of a secret.

It's not so much a secret as superstition. If we talk about it too much we may jinx it.

Anyone who thinks that they are a elite Mid-Atlantic snowboarder worthy of being on a video this year can contact me at bj610@hotmail.com. By Mid-Atlantic I mean south of the Mason-Dixon, and you should be able to do 720's and some type of invert spin to be considered. About 10 spots have already been filled so few spots are available. They video will be done by P.I.G. productions and released next fall.

Given the update on the main page about Snowshoe... Me thinks it may be time to put up the golf clubs, and get the skis out, and ready...

I started the Ski cravings in August. I went to the Dilly in Chantilly, turned my skis in for a tune and bought new boots!

I was in T-Line over the weekend of 10/30 and you could smell winter in the air. We spent some time hiking the slopes at T-Line and Canaan and I'm more than ready for the season to commence.

The main pic on the 'Shoe's site today was impressive. The amount of snow in the pic looked more like january than November 11.
