I got a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach reading this article. Especially after K2 claimed to be keeping the Stowe plant in operation as late as January of this year (see 2nd article) .

Can Volkl and Marker products be far behind? If K2 does 'move' Volkl then I intend to sadly 'move' to another brand.

Snowcone,
I've been eyeing various Volkl models for my next pair (I just have convince my wife that it's a good idea! ) Anyway, I would have to agree that if they move Volkl operations to China, I will look into other manufacturers!

Warren, New skis are always a good idea. Just convince your wife how much more time you'll be able to devote to her happiness once the craving for new skis is satisfied.

I've got 80 days on my Volkl V3's now and am curious about Dynamic VR27, not because K2 POSSIBLY will move Volkl production to China, but bcause the reviews make me think this is the ski for me.

Good Luck with the convincing. Chant Softly..New skis, new skis.

Jimmy,
Sounds like good advice on the wife issue
Anyway, I'm probably going to take advantage of demo days whenever I can.
