Yesterday I spent an off day hiking in Shenandoah National Park near the northern end of 50-mile-long Massanutten Mountain. It was beautiful. The mountains in the mid-Atlantic offer their own form of magnificence for all who take the time to check them out - anytime of the year. I've always thought Massanutten Ski Area (at the southern end of Massanutten Mountain) offered some very pretty Blue Ridge Mountain Scenery. This shot features the relatively benign black diamond trail "Paradice". One of my favorite cruisers in our region.

Looks about as flat as Salamander at Timberline. I guess it gets steeper later on.
