Green Quad is hard down. It broke around 5pm last night and web page has it down today until further notice.
Top of Snowdancer was mogul'd up. I stayed on the High Speed quad from 2:30 to 6:30 and had some great spring skiing. Top of the hill was getting pretty thin. They needed to groom last night.
The staff was pretty good at checking people getting on the high speed to make sure they could handle it. This hill had more than its fair share of yard sales after the EZ rider quad closed.

yeow.
I cannot imagine (being a green level myself) how bad that must have been if someone went up to the blues who shouldn't have. Scary. But I guess if you only other choice is velvet...
It must have broken down right before I left Sunday.
Maybe it broke because everyone and there grandmother was there yesterday to enjoy the 47 degree day! I sweated like a pig. I have to remember layers and to get a weekday in once in a while.

oh wow.... I didn't make it to WT yesterday and now I'm kind of glad...glad I wasn't on the lift when it broke! Were there people on it? How did they get them down? That would have been a nightmare!

No one got stuck on the lift. Everyone got up before the shut down. It was well managed. ..and it appears the lift is back up and running this afternoon.
It doesn't surprise me that whitetail managed a crisis well. I love the place. It was a great day there yesterday.
are you trying to bait me back into - whitetail managing a "too much snow crisis" very well............
awww . . . you caught me. I enjoyed lurking on that last thread

...that doesn't sound like a to much snow crisis....
I like Whitetail a lot but one thing that gets to me is how the people gather between the Easy Rider lift and the High Speed Quad and just hang out. It's a real pain weaving between them to get in line for the High Speed lift.
It seems like Whitetail could keep some type of path open to the lift for those who actually want to ski.
