Ever wonder why they call it Whitetail? We had a few fawns try to rent some skis the other night while we were still open. They busted up a door to the rental building and one had to be put down. There's been an increase in road kill on Blair's valley road lately. The deer are getting hungry. Let's be careful out there people!
Those are Pennsylvania "speed bumps" not roadkill
Frogs!
I've confused more than one person calling them that, but these days it is perfectly natural for me to call those big, brown, long legged, furry things "frogs".
Why?
Unlike "Deer", when my wife says "Frog" while I am driving, I don't smile back at her and say "Yes, Honey?"

Err, I thought there were supposed to be state-run feedlots in Indian Springs WMA ????
I saw two this past Sunday morning along the access road(?) leading from the top of Fanciful. It was the first time I ever saw deer that clost to the slopes.
