A Few from today...

Here's a few pictures I took today. Weather was great (cold) and the snow was even better. 9 degrees when we got there and 14 when we left.

They essentially had a green run and a blue/green run from the top open. Almost identical to last year's opening. Plenty of snow being made as well.

Cool -- I might head up there later in the week if weather/trails look enticing enough (so far so good based on those pics).

Yeah, it was worth the trip today. It looked like they'll have some more opened up fairly soon. They were blowing a TON of snow today.

Forgot to mention, I picked up one of these also...

I came close to getting a SS mid-week pass this year, since it was a reasonable $332 pre-season and Wintergreen really cranked their price up this year (50% increase to $299, WTF). But the 4.5hr drive to SS makes weekday trips tough, so I only do a few. Maybe next year.

BTW, how were crowds?

There weren't any. The most we waited was 2-3 minutes at Ballhooter.

A week and a day ago I was skiing in 9 degree weather. This afternoon, I put in about 20 miles on the roadie. What's with this weather? Isn't it ski season already?

BTW, everyone get your skis ready. This weekend is going to be OFF THE HOOK. With the big plans I have (skiing not involved) there will probably be a HUGE dump here in WV. Just my luck....

Ya thanks bud; Only thing you'll be using a snorkel for in December is diving . You getting nervous or anxious?

I little anxious, but more excited. I've got a 133 question Biochem final on Friday, so it's a little hard to be nervous about the wedding. It is going to be a nice relief though. Can't wait to see Mr and Mrs Jimmy!!
