Let me be more clear. I am looking if Killingotn is the only option left on the East Coast.I have wheels not wings....
answering my own post looks like Hunter is open this weekend and that would be the nearest open snow. unless some one know something else?
Looks like Whiteface NY is open this weekend as well, though of course that is farther than Hunter. Gore Mtn also.
Holimont in Western PA is amazingly still open. Although it is closed to the public usually on weekends.
wildcat, sugarbush, jay, and loaf all say they are aiming for may 3. you should be able to find something if you are desperate. i'd try a priceline to denver.
E-mails from Jay say that 95% of their terrain (glades too) is open this Easter Weekend. Pond skimming and beech party next weekend.
that was from 4/8 .....April

langley,
Where have you been. We needed you in March!
The Colonel
lurked a bit, but was consumed by the end of my junior year! I was able to ski only a few days in march and two at the beginning of april for my PSIA level 1... btw, for late season skiing int he east Hunter Mnt rocks! that place is amazing. but im done with finals and am just around, relaxing and itching to do some backpacking!
(or skiing, if anyone can find some!)
I will be skiing the summit snowfields and/or Great Gulf on 5/21 & 22 with my good friend Otto Rhoad, and a bro-in-law and a nephew. It looks like Otto will be ready just in time.
http://mtwashingtonautoroad.blogspot.com/ Tucks is insanity and we are in the peak of falling ice season,
http://www.mountwashington.org/weather/avalanche/ Anyhow I have been there and done that and now spend my time at other places in the Presidential Range where the skiing is as good or better and the insanity level is a lot lower.
Temp is at 23 at 350 pm mothers day...60 mile gusts..light snow & freezing fog with below 0 windchill...winter is still alive at the summit of Mt Wash!!....
BBQ grill is hot & beer is cold Down here in (SE) North Cackilacky..Beach water temp..72 degrees..
Beach water temp..72 degrees..

Your mommy spoils you in the bathtub
....Yeah..I'm waiting for next weekend myself. Ocean City,Md is still in the 50's & everybody swims when it hits 72..cuzzz it don't get much warmer than that!

Man, you just don't let up anymore. Is it because of the wise cracks about the crab pots?
David,
I am like you, I like my ocean swimming in "bathtub" water, near 80 degrees. Otherwise the air temp needs to be in the nineties, and the water temp not lower than 75 degrees.
I do not go to the Md and Del beaches due to cold water temps. Usually hit VA Beach in August or Sept when water near 80 degrees. The Bay and Lower Potomac where we have our 2nd home ususally is in mid eighties by July.
MY WIFE AND I ARE TAKING THE EXTENDED FAMILY (KIDS' FAMILIES) TO DUCK IN EARLY-MID JULY. ANYBODY KNOW WHAT KIND OF WATER TEMPS I CAN ANTICIPATE. FROM THE CLIMATE RECORDS IT APPEARS TO BE SIMILAR TO VA BEACH,ON AVERAGE.

Dennis,
What is the ski area that appears to be behind Mt. Washington in the videos you posted? Appears to be quite a bit of snow on the trails.

I believe that's Wildcat.
Huh? I didn't post a video.
At this time of year the Presidentials are the only thing worth doing.

Yep. Wildcat's last day of operation this year was April 20.
