Just checking:

Wisp's ad on DCSki.com today touts its birthday celebration as December 9-10, which seems unusual since those dates are Tuesday-Wednesday. Somewhere else (Wisp's website, I believe)I spotted the dates as Sunday-Monday December 14-15, which corresponds to the Sunday-Monday schedule of last year's celebration.

Is it time to update the DCSKi.com ad, or haven't the dates been finalized yet?

Those ads are from last year. I have not heard the dates for the 2008 celebration yet.

If it's the 14 and 15th I hope folks will put it on their calendars. I usually try to make the Sunday they do it if conditions are half way decent. It's getting to be a tradition for me to kick-off my season.

According to Wisp Site it will be the 14th and 15th. I would like to get up there but at 5 hours from Richmond, probably an overnite deal. Any advice on lodging? Be nice to finally meet someone else from DCSki.

The lodge at Wisp should be offering some discount packages. There are also two Comfort Inns close by. One at the entrance to Wisp and another one off of I68 in/near Frostburg, MD.

Ugh. Second sunday is my day to flip pancakes for my KofC Council. Might be time for an injury to my spatula holdin hand.

That may be a go in my book as well. The Sunday sounds good. I'll see if the Mrs wants to do it.
