Can anyone recommend relatively inexpensive lodging at Stowe close to mountain?

Has anyone been to Golden Eagle Resort? Thanks.

Stowe has some of the nicest inns in VT. At the top end of the scale is Top Notch and Trapp but there are many pleasant places to stay below that level. The Inn at the Mountain is great for skiing convenience. I like Innsbruck Inn because of its larger rooms and convenience to both the mountain and some of my favorite restaurants on the Mountain Road. The rooms are a bit shabby but the place is cheap and convenient and that counts for a lot as far as I am concerned.

What do you mean by inexpensive? Other than motels, I don't think there is to much cheaper lodging.

I have stayed at the Inn at the mountain (ski in ski out) and it is pretty nice.

I don't think there is very much nice lodging at Stowe there other than the Trapp lodge and maybe some country inns.
