I was checking Snowshoe's event page and noticed that they were having bump contest on St. Patrick's Day weekend. This is great news. I don't think they've had a bump contest in years (10-15yrs, maybe longer?). This use to be a huge party over on Lower Cupp. Tons of people and a keg or two sunk in the snow. Wonder where they are going to hold the contest? Shay's isn't open yet. Choker was ruinned when they cut the trail across the steepest section. They don't let Cupp Run bump up anymore. Knot Bumper is a good bump run, but there's no room for spectators.

Even if you don't want to enter the contest, there should be some good bumps leading up to and after the contest.

Cool, we are scheduled to be up there that weekend. I probably won't enter the bump competition (since I stink at bumps) but it would be fun to have some beers and watch. I can probably talk my brother in law into entering the competition.
