Alexandria, 1:05 p.m., just a few flurries. Not enough for anything except COMPLETE AND TOTAL PANIC!!!! RUN TO THE GIANT!!!! NOW!!!!11!!1111
1:45 PM and around 3 inches in Clarksburg, WV. I-79 is covered with snow so be careful driving
Lets enjoy the snow while we can because it will probably be getting mild again (upper 50s/low 60s) in VA by mid Feb.

Maybe. Could easily be highs in the 20s. But I will guarantee that six months from now the high will be in the 90s. Carpe Snowflake.
For the near term, current 10 day forecast for NOVA inside the Beltway has lows in the 20's all but one night when the low is 30. The mountains will be a lot colder. Nice snow making and base retention weather.
Sure is pretty out there right now.
snowed from 9 to noon at wintergreen, quite hard for about an hour, then turned to light sleet by the time we left at 2pm. (rain/sleet all the way down to alta vista.)
what a wonderful way to end the wkend - skiing with the kids in real snow on eagles swoop where they weren't also blasting ice crystals at us. even went down potato with my 5 yr old a few times. and clifhanger is finally open!! i feel so much better about life ;-)
