Whitetail making snow tonight?

whitetail website reports that snowmakers are manning their positions, waiting for cold temps to arrive tonight or tomorrow.

When I left at 9:15 Monday night, it was awfully quiet, but the sky was clear and the temperature was dropping. There were suggestions of activity - distant sounds of engines high up on the mountain. Unfortunately, all the lights were still turned off, so I couldn't really see what was going on.

However, by 2AM Tuesday morning, the webcam showed:

!!! THEY WERE BLOWING SNOW ON VELVET !!!

Well, in actuality, they were probably just blowing the mice out of the lines, but ya gotta start somewhere.

The word (9 PM Monday night) was that they were going to try to open for biz by 12/13.
