SnowShoe Directions

I'm heading to SnowShoe from Loudoun Co. Can someone give me some insight as the best (fastest) route to get there?
There website highlights 2 main travel routes, those being 81S to 55 @ Strasburg, or 81S to 33 @ Harrisonburg. Is one preferable over the other?
Thanks!
Rt. 55.
It's faster, more scenic, and it's an easier drive.
This has been discussed a ton of times so do a search and you'll find lots of info but yeah 81 to 55 is quicker and easier. Less hillclimbing to do.
Personally your best bet is to take the following route (depending where you live at in Loudon county):
1.) Take the Dulles Toll Road to Leesburg Rt 7
2.) Take Route 7 to Winchester, VA.
3.) Just before entering Winchester, VA - Take I-81 south.
4.) Drive I-81 until you get to the Rt. 55 (Exit 296?) at Strasburg.
5.) Make a right at the exit and drive 20 something miles to Wardensville.
6.) Go through Wardensville & stay on Rt. 55 until you reach Baker, WV.
7.) At the intersection (concrete bridges) take Rt. 55 (corridor h) to Moorefield, WV.
8.) Get off at the East Moorefield Exit and make a left. Drive into downtown Moorefield.
9.) At the stoplight make a left towards Petersburg, WV. Dirve 15 miles to Petersburg.
10.) Drive through downtown Petersburg, make a right at the stoplight towards Seneca Rocks.
11.) Keep driving through Petersburg on Rt. 55 towards Seneca Rocks.
12.) At Seneca Rocks intersection, stay straight towards Greenbank/Cass.
From there I'm lost because I've never driven to snowshoe. heh
Alternatively if you stay on I-81 and drive about an hour past the Strasburg exit you'll be in Harrisonburg , VA and you can get off at the exit for US Rt 33. From there US Rt. 33 will almost be a straight shot to Snowshoe. I've never went to Snowshoe before so I can't really say which is better.
