I am sitting here at the Springs using my lapstop rather than skiing in the rain and fog. Thankfully the temps are in the mid 30s minimizing snow melt. From folks coming in I am told the conditions are not too bad, in fact better than yesterday when there was a lot of chopped up sugar (manmade) powder at unexpected places on the slopes.
Hoping for better weather tomorrow.

Thanks for the update. It's about the same at Timberline today, 2 January. You have to ski the rain and the fog to appreciate the good days... Get out there and do some skiing COL.

Skied in the rain this afternoon, Jan 3. Lots of bare spots, but overall the snow surface was very skiable! No snow in forecast until Thursday. Hopefully I'll be able to get in some runs tomorrow without wearing the windshield wipers. Temp. all day about 33 degrees. Really foggy, couldn't be sure what trail I was taking at times on the North Face slopes! New Yodeler trail is great, but parts were quite bare with rocks showing.
Think snow,
