The current tally:
Roger Z 803
jimmy 780
jimmy's looking strong with new boot discussion potential. Roger Z peaked early with the Volkls, might be headed for overtraining.
I'm curious to see who the top 10-20 posters are ont he whole site.

Click on the User List and then sort by # of posts.
-Murphy #21 (but with a few more informative posts like this I could bump Denis and enter the top 20
)
ps. Comprex, don't count Roger out yet. He's got an opinion on EVERYTHING
pps. I could have made that ps a separate post to pad my total but I didn't because that's the kind of guy I am
Roger Z only needs to bring the Untopic back to life to pad some stats...

Imagine if i wrote an entire corridor H article that way. I'd blow John out of the water.

Oh yes, I've created a monster.
As for you Murph, I dispute your assertion that I have an opinion on everything. I'd be happy to challenge you on this statement, but right now I'm engaged in a debate on another site about the benefits of Kentucky versus Bermuda grass in the Piedmont regions of north central North Carolina. Some people are so uppity about these matters and need to be put back in their place...
Mr. Sherwood, Posting King
Like Tline on a Tuesday it's lonely at the top
Yeah, just like a Thursday night
Down at my Red Creek Flop.
Thousand Post Club, RogerZ
That's where we'll someday be
Up there with our friend JohnL
Linking GS turns in the trees.
I'm flyin down White Lightning, LMV
Completely out of control
Was it that great big icy spot
Or just the Rasta Patrol?
LBotta, Sir, Master of Rhyme,
Now that you're back up north with us I've really gotta know
Puerile Powder, yes or no,
Is it the same as fetal snow?
Comprex, dude, I've seen your posts on other forum sites,
You know what comprises, I've got a hunch
The WV Skiers Seven Course Lunch.
Heather, Snowcone & Sheena the Queen
The greatest ladies that I've never seen
I've got high hopes for this old mountaineer
That this is the season we meet for a beer.
Oh, Crush, u no how bad the bumps and steep trees
Can be on jimmy's tired old knees
But we'll do canis lupis again if you please
So it's jimmy vs. RogerZ then,
We can settle this like boyz or
We can settle this like men
The only thing I need to know is
You'll be at Timberline when?
This whole article of those reaching and dare I say racing towards 1000posts is nearly as out of control as the now dormant and sleeping untopic. Hopefully that'll get revived come spring.

i feel so weak

, way to go brad w/your new subie, rogerz and andy pass the biscuits pleez look like they finished their lovefest down in florida last nite, my resolution to no longer drunk post has nocked my posting output way down, besides it's the season, not much to do but ski and think aobut when i'll ski next, file a few trip reports, make a few stoopid comments, maybe hijack a couple threads for OTS. Skied Spring conditions at 7S yesterday, met two old friends for the first time, Happy New Year to all. Rian Sucks!
It's all of that posting finally catching up with you. :P
Jimmy, Jimmy, your words are so pretty
and it did not cost us a penny.
WV is so sweet
except when it's raining sleet.
With no pow, and little base
it's hard to set much of a pace.
Despite Rogerz's ample warning
no one could have predicted this darn warmin.
We have no fear,
because it's quite clear.
That the 1000 post race
will keep us at this place.
A place called DCSki
which is where I'd rather be.
Than sliding helplessly down the whales
and turning pale.
If climate change has brought our slopes down
only snowmaking can keep them sound.
Oh Mr. Blanzy listen here,
keep those guns firing near.
For fine WV skiing will be back,
as soon I see the makers out of their shack.

Quality post to follow
I have a confession to make. I did something bad and need to tell someone. Sunday morning at Timberline I ran into another skier. Ironically, while booting up that warm bluebird, beautiful morning, Bobby S. joked w/me about no fast skiing out there; I told him not to worry about fast, completly out of control is more like it, just kidding him you know.
Made my first run down Dew Drop, great snow, no one but me in sight. Next run down Thunderstruck is when it happened.
Followed two guys down the approach, i'm carving down the middle, still behind them, one wedging down the left side, the other making pretty nice turns down the right. I decide i can take a line between them, keeping my eye on the skier to my left.....this all happened much faster than it'll take you to read this...... i see him make a z turn right towards me, no problem, scrub some speed, give ground to my right, oh $hit, the guy on my right cuts me off, instinctivly i grab the guy who was to my left in a bear hug and we both go down.
My fault, i told him so and appologized, no physical damage done. Really shook me up though. I broke the code. I am pretty obsessive about looking back, knowing whats behind me before i stop or make a big move.
I hope you all are too.
Well, between that and your one word posts, I'd have to say you're a real jerk, Jimmy.

Just kidding... but maybe you and Marcus Vick have more in common than we all realized.

Jimmy,
I tell ya man, I've come close to being in your situation more than once! I'll eyeball the lines people are taking and then pick mine. At the last second, someone will drastically veer into my line

To date I've not had to bear-hug anyone but I've had to make some rather quick turns/scrub speed. The code says that the up-hill skier needs to watch for the down-hill. I can tell you from skiing out West that you're expected to maintain the line that you've chosen and you'll hear comments from up-slope if you suddenly break out of your line (I've accidentally done it to folks a couple of times

)

Just shout:
"Passing on your left (or right)"
And hope the person is not skiing with an I-Pod.
That works, but the downhill skier always has the right of way no matter how crazy his or her line may be. The Ski Patrol at Timberline pointed this out to me one day after I accidentally cut someone off at slow speed. It happens to everyone.

Oh i dunno about that, Vick gets kicked out of school, probably end up being an NFL Multi Millionaire if he stays out of jail; me i can't even afford those Atomic Izor 9.7 i fell in love with at friday's demo day.
While we're off the subject
.
There goes so much for me actually catching up to within exactly 100 posts of you. :P
Jimmy,
While we're off the topic huh? Are we starting another Untopic?

-Warren-

Yeah, I'm sure the NFL teams are dying to snatch this guy up right now. Maybe the Vikings, but really, who else would want him at this point?
Brad, give it up, you're not catching up with us. I've seen your attempts- cute, but ultimately futile. You cannot out b.s. me and Jimmy.

HA! Admit it warren, you miss it don't you

.

Did I mention Vick got arrested again?
And no, this isn't a re-post of last weeks post. He was arrested AGAIN. This time for pointing a gun at some kid he was arguing with.
Ok that does it, I'm going to have Scott start a computer help forum for all those skiiers who can't access the resort websites of which I will respond personally to each post. If that doesn't put me ahead of john, nothing will.
Speaking of Virginia Tech sports, how about
Tar ....... Heels!
Tar ....... Heels!
Tar ....... Heels!
Tar ....... Heels!

Jimmy,
OK.... You got it....I admit it. I Miss the Untopic man...
