Alpine Ski Shop in Sterling VA is on October 25 & 26. Always a big event.
Such a great reminder! My son has grown through so many pairs of boots and skis in the last 6 years, and they're all still in decent shape. May consider taking a trip if I don't see anything local near the Laurel Highlands. We used to have a few of them here, but now not so much. If I can't give them to a neighbor who has children who are learning, I'd hate to throw them out.
Has anyone been to the swap at Liberty? I’m wondering if it’s worth a trip. How does it compare to some of the swaps like Alpine Ski Shop, Pro-fit or Ski Center?
^ good to know. Every year I somehow never know the dates for the swaps / or "the Willi's ski sale," even though I most certainly should. I usually just show up randomly in late october or early november and something's happening. I've got my own arsenal of outgrown but gently used equip.
^ also good to know. Thanks! And additionally good to know that some of it goes to the Mon Valley Ski Club. Will try to make it on that weekend.
