West Virginia’s Canaan Valley Resort will be offering extended night skiing this season, offering night skiing on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings between December 26, 200 and March 2, 2003. The resort is also unveiling NASTAR racing beginning January 22.

Last season, Canaan Valley built the new Bear Paw Lodge, a two-story modern facility containing nearly 21,000 square feet of space. Improvements to Bear Paw Lodge are also in place for the 2002-2003 season.

“In addition to the new base lodge, skiers will find that we have enhanced our service and entertainment offerings during the off-season, and we have created special ski and stay packages that will appeal to everyone,” said Chuck Trader, Managing Director for Canaan Valley Resort. Entertainment, such as live music, will be offered at the ski area during the day and at the lodge at night on most Saturdays throughout the season.
