The National Ski and Snowboard Expo will be hitting Washington, D.C. next weekend, featuring over 100 exhibitors, Warren Miller’s 50th flick, and a “mega” ski swap. The event will be held at the Ballston Common Mall in Arlington, Virginia at the intersection of Glebe Road and Wilson Boulevard. The Expo will be open Friday, November 5 from 4-9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Admission is free.

Skiers and boarders can shop for the latest in equipment and gear, or search for a bargain in the Ski Swap. (Consignment starts Friday at 3 p.m. on the 3rd floor.)

Exhibitors on hand will include local ski resorts, ski clubs, ski shops, and more. There will be demos, clinics, and door prizes.

Always a popular feature, the Expo will highlight Warren Miller’s latest ski flick. The 50th Anniversary Thriller will be shown every two hours. Tickets are $10 and include a free lift pass valid at Ski Roundtop or Ski Liberty.

If you can’t make the Expo next weekend, you can catch it at the Walk Whitman Mall in Huntington, New York the following weekend. The Expo will make its final stop in New York from November 12-14, 1999.
