Tired of searching for change to feed resort lockers? Over the summer, Liberty Mountain Resort replaced all resort lockers with GoPod Lockers, which enable rental payment through a credit card. For a flat fee, guests will be able to access their locker multiple times throughout the day. Lockers will also be available in various sizes.

On the slopes, guests to the Pennsylvania resort will benefit from additional automated snow guns that have been installed at the top of the mountain and the base area. Over the past few years, Liberty has been replacing older snow guns with computerized, more efficient snowguns. 65% of the mountain has now been converted to automated snowmaking.

Liberty’s rental fleet has been turned over with all-new skis and boots from Rossignol and Dalbello. The resort has also added additional snowboards to the fleet from Burton, as well as additional rental helmets. The rental shop has been redesigned to provide a better flow and more elbow room for staff and guests.

In May, 2010, Liberty purchased the neighboring Carroll Valley Resort, which doubled the resort’s size and increased lodging and dining options. 99 hotel rooms are now found at the resort. Liberty is currently renovating a portion of the golf side hotel rooms.

If you’re a season pass or Advantage Card holder, getting your pass will be easier this year. You can submit your pass photo online prior to picking up your pass. If you are a returning passholder, Liberty will print and mail your card to you.
