North Carolina’s Beech Mountain Resort has upgraded a double chairlift to a quad. The resort has been busy putting the finishing touches on a Doppelmayer Quad conversion. The arrival of a new auxiliary engine will allow the new Oz Quad to open at the beginning of the 2009-2010 winter season.

Beech Mountain has also added a private season-long locker room, featuring over 90 individual lockers with changing rooms and restrooms. The room is located in the middle of Beech Tree Village.

Additional enhancements include a new terrain park area, upgrades to rental facilities, a new Group Sales area, and a new retail shop in the View Haus Cafeteria.

Over the past year, Beech Mountain has transformed an existing double chairlift into a new quad chairlift. Photo provided by Beech Mountain.
