Here is an article done by the Daily News Record located in Harrisonburg, VA which serves a good portion of western Virginia. This is in regards to the proposed dam site #16 at Lost City, WV (10 minutes south of Baker). The article refers to various dams being built on Lost River tributaries that are all within a 15 mile radius of each other.

It sounds like an interesting proposal. Such a large flood occurs very rarely, a 500 year event as the article said. The recreation area would be nice. If the dam is not necessary, the money could be spent somewhere else....like at TIMBERLINE AND CV!

It looks like the original artical you were talking about is already gone.
This morning (7/29/04) the artical is talking about prayer in public meetings
