Rain and skiing aren't two things you normally put together, but since I'm doing the adult development workshop at Liberty and they held class today, I was there in the rain.  While it was wet, the skiing was suprisingly good.  My class was in the bumps a good bit of the day and they were nice and soft.  Visibility was low at times with periods of heavy fog, but there were periods when the fog lifted and you could see the whole trail.  Besides the soft bumps, the best thing about Liberty today was that hardly anyone was there.  It was basically kids and adults in the ski school program and some die-hard season pass holders.

After today, I may consider skiing in the rain more often, especially if it is light rain.  The wet was worth it for the empty mountain and nice soft bumps.

Oh, and I was surprised to run into Vince Kenny in the ski school building.  It's great to see that Vince is an instructor there this year.  Hopefully I'll get a chance to take some turns with him after my session is over next Saturday or the week after that.

You're hardcore Keith!  Didn't get to talk to Vince much tonight.  He's in bed and going back up there bright and early tomorrow, which should be a much friendlier day weatherwise, if a little slushy.

Yep.....while sitting on the lift in the rain may  be a bummer....the skiing is usually pretty sweet. Liberty is also a sweet mountain. I think that mountain has the most character of any mid-atl lift served resort.
