That was a great read. And the Whiskey Hollow trail sounds like it was a great run.

I have hiked the area on the maps as far as one can go without getting up to the shooting range.
There is no sign of trail that was cleared, as many of the trees in the whole area are younger. It would have been a very steep course at the end, and no runout.
