are in a word awful.
I got in my first day today at Keystone.
There are only two ways down: Spring Dipper and Schoolmarm, and the ONLY way to the base is via Spring Dipper to River Run. I actually think that conditions are worse than last year -- and last year was the worst I've ever seen.
We crested Hoosier Pass last night and there was no snow on the pass or south of the pass. That's the first time I've ever seen that this late in November. There was a bit of snow on the North side of the pass --
and the crowds were worse than the snow. By noon there was a 25 minute lift line wait at Montezuma. Spring Dipper to River Run looked like a big city freeway at the worst part of rush hour. It was grossly unsafe. So I left.

oh i don't like the sound of that Bob. At least I have not booked any tickets yet. thanks for the painful update.
if it was tourists (like me, admittedly) then the bottom of river run must have looked like a battlefield.
good luck.

If the weather channel is to be believed, it might get good by January/February (also out east):

It wasn't as crowded today so the skiing was slightly more pleasant. The Denver crowd must have decided to stay over for Monday. Nothing more opened up between yesterday and today.
It was warm enough today that 3 shirtless teenagers passed me on a trail. I ended up sharing a chair with them, and asked "Are you more worried about sunburn, windburn or road rash?"
They laughed and said "yes."
Shirtless, at 11,500 feet, in Colorado, in late November.
Who woulda thought?

Always the optimist ... I'm sure the conditions will be fine when I am there in March.
Here's an update -- two weeks later.
Nothing as changed. I washed the truck 15 days ago before driving to Breckenridge, and the truck looks like it was washed yesterday. There has been no snow in the county since I arrived. If it wasn't for manmade, NOTHING would be open.
Breck nornally gets 20 inches of snow in November. This year it was 2 inches.
Conditions aren't any better in Eagle County or anywhere else in Colorado that I am aware of.
Things appear to be no better in NM, with Taos BEING CLOSED
Monday thru Wednesday thru mid December.
Pray to Ullr.

Bob , I wonder how things are progressing out there? December has had some snow, but no dumpers. Curious to hear a local perspective.
I got this email from a friend yesterday.

My hunched over legs are needing much assistance currently after a reported 12" but actual waist deep in the trees today at Steamboat.
