"First day in new session series sells out
Copper Mountain's Rail Jam on June 30 was such a success - selling out to 100 competitors - the resort teamed with Woodward to open the terrain park to the public.
As conditions permit, the ski area will host Summer Shredding three-hour sessions every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy the rails and boxes during the special summer sessions at Copper for $10. "We're capping the sessions at 50 people so that there isn't overcrowding," Katherine Bush, spokeswoman for Copper Mountain, said.
The Summer Shredding session on Saturday, the first day open to the public, sold out on Friday.
The sessions will continue every Saturday through July and into August if conditions permit."
For anyone wanting to get on snow at someplace other than Oregon or British Columbia ... The fact that Copper is doing this is pretty surprising given how little snow Copper got last winter.
